Drink some water

Sometimes we are stressed because we’re actually dehydrated. It’s so easy to become drained. Water is so important to help our brain and muscles function well. No wonder we can seem overwhelmed or irritated when thirsty. Drinking water keeps us healthy, clear minded and happy throughout the day.

Read a good book

Reading is so important each day to strengthen those learning skills. People find enjoyment in learning about the things we love.
God’s word says. “Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

‭‭Try breathing deeply and slowly

Breathing is so good but when we’re stressed out we can forget to breathe properly. Try finding a quiet room or closet in your home and practice breathing. Have you ever seen a newborn breathe? It is so peaceful and this way of breathing is taught through yoga practices because of how it relaxes your body. Breathe deeply in , filling your stomach and watching it rise. Then breathe out as though you are slowly blowing out a candle and gently release the air out using your abdominal muscles . Do this about 7 times to feel the benefits of simply breathing.

Hope this helps! Enjoy motherhood it may last a lifetime but your children are only little for so long.

These are great ideas and so easy to do. I love taking drives and didn’t think of this as a way to calm down and collect myself. What a great reminder. I’m going to drink some water and write in my journal right now before I forget!
